God’s image is described as the nature of mankind possessing the same likeness as God.
Generally, the concept of God’s image is defined through several approaches. To begin with,
there are the Bible teachings. According to the Bible, God’s image was first experienced through
the very beginning of the creation of mankind. God created Adam from his own likeness and
positioned him in the Garden of Eden. However, Adam betrayed God’s wishes by falling in sin,
which resulted in the fall of mankind. Particularly, the betrayal signified the origin of sin.
Regardless, God provided a relief for sin by sending his own begotten son Jesus who was
sacrificed on the cross to reconnect mankind with God.
According to Genesis, it explains that God’s creation of mankind was based on a male
and a female. In many instances elaborated through the Bible, every generation mentioned
concerns both the genders, whereas a source of sin is also indicated. Some good illustrations are
the generation of Abraham and that of Noah. Historically, there lie misconceptions about the
influence of the Old Testament by certain aspects such as external cultures. Considering the
Mesopotamia epics, it consists of certain elements concerning creation, such as resting of the
deity after the creation process. In addition, the epics contain some conceptions regarding images
of certain idols and gods. Particularly, the idols influence them to maintain certain
responsibilities and abilities. On the other hand, Christianity was subjected to philosophical
trends. During some instances, Christians and Romans interrelated in an aim of appealing to the
Gentiles targeted at spreading Christ’s gospel. Generally, the influence of Romans was enough
evidence that the human’s mind contained humanity. In connection, humanity contains the image
of God. Lastly, Theology was also used to explain the aspect of God’s creation. Particularly,

theology aims at explaining the divine nature of God. Considering the elaborations made above
concerning God’s image, it is clear that the image remains glorified and holy.

My Career in Preaching

Eventually, when I complete my studies, I wish to venture in the career of preaching.
Since my childhood, I had always been interested in the Bible teachings. My parents were both
Christians, and as a result, I was brought up in a religious environment. Moreover, through each
and every stage of growth I passed, I attended church services and learnt a lot concerning God.
The Biblical teachings are very interesting and meaningful. In my life, I always feel that I have
an obligation of preaching the gospel to people, in order to awaken the people who care less
about God and the reality of life. In my perspective, the reality of life is living by Gods will and
engaging in useful activities.

The Impacts of the Image of God in the Preaching Career

In order to pursue any career successfully, several factors should be considered. Particularly, the
most important aspect is the possession of true knowledge. According to the Biblical teachings,
true knowledge lost its basis during the fall of mankind. However, God renews the lost
knowledge through saving mankind from sins. Basically, there are three attributes renewed in
God’s image. They are true knowledge, righteousness, and holiness. Moreover, the nature of the
renewed image assists human beings in venturing in careers. Categorically, the aid is classified
into three. Firstly, in order to be a potential preacher, an individual should be spiritually rich. The
capability of career success was withered, deformed, and misdirected following the fall of
mankind. As a result, humans lost dignity in God’s image. However, spiritual assistance is the
best solution to handling the spiritually lost human beings.

Secondly, there is the concept of God’s assistance in reorienting mankind. Particularly,
the term reorienting means reforming from sinful deeds. Evidently, the correct structure of God’s
creation was twisted during the fall of mankind leading to decreased level of knowledge and
holiness to mankind. However, their only solution is God’s help and reformation from other
spiritual leaders like pastors. Lastly, there is the application of a three-dimensional response.

Generally, the responses are categorized as aspects of human response to God, creation, and
others. Finally, the major reason behind God’s idea of mankind creation is his intimacy to the
human beings.

Conclusion

God’ idea of creating mankind in his image is a clear indication of love and trust. For that
reason, human beings should follow and abide by his ways so as to show appreciation to God.
By following his ways, he will always provide for the needs and bless all humans regardless of
their careers or mode of survival. My career as a preacher is based on reorienting the lost souls
and increase evangelism to all mankind.
